Chanupawakpa Dakota First Nation Dike Build

North Island was asked by the Federal Government to assist Chief and Council to manage the build of their new dike. The First Nation some years lost up to 65% of their land during the spring thaw, due to the combination of over land flooding and the Pipestone River bursting its banks. This required us to not only keep the Pipestone waters out, but then allow the over land flooding to return to the river. This project combined our ability to design and build drainage plans, dikes, roads, and major culvert installs.
