Cresentwood
North Island was asked by one of our commercial clients to renovate his family’s forever home. We were given a major task of putting a 100 year old house back together from the top down. This included giving this iconic home all new systems: new multi zone forced air heating and cooling system, all new electrical, All new insulation, HRV…etc
We were asked to open up the small compartmentalized rooms in the old kitchen area and expand it to being one of feature rooms in the house. This required some well coordinated demolition and major structural repairs. The back half of the house was rebuild completely.
The third floor was turned from multiple smaller rooms with low ceilings into a great room with massive windows and kids bed room fit for a prince. We were able to add a full bathroom up there as well.
This home was used in the movie Capote with Philip Seymour Hoffman. The great room and dinging room with the hidden safe have been updated but kept true to the original home.
